◌ Ashtanga Yoga AYI

basic

Basic lesson is aimed at beginners. You will be guided and individually supervised in a small group and gradually build up your yoga practice. Practitioners of other traditions who want to get to know the method are also very welcome.

Each basic hour consists of positions, breathing and concentration exercises and deep relaxation. But there is also space and space for philosophical topics and texts, such as Yoga Sutra.

While one hour can be a little more demanding and sweaty, another is a little gentler and calmer. You will soon feel the effect of yoga on your body and mind and the benefits of consistent yoga practice.

In the Basic Form we practice about 1/3 of the 1st series of Ashtanga Yoga, but vary this depending on the topic of the hour.

Gentle movement and regular breathing are the focus.

The Basic Form is also ideal for experienced Ashtangis who want to further develop their core strength, are in a regeneration phase, or want to slowly build up their yoga practice again after a break.

Try it, it will surprise you. Promised!

fundamentals

This lesson is well suited for anyone who knows at least 1/3 of the 1st series and is a good continuation of the basic.

We keep switching between two lesson formats - a led class to practice the first series systematically and a focus class to deepen something or even make a trip to the second series.

Fundamentals class offers you the opportunity to delve deeper into the yoga philosophy, but also to learn Ashtanga Pranayama and different meditation techniques.

mysore style

The Mysore Style is the traditional way of learning Ashtanga Yoga.
In an Ashtanga Mysore class, students with very different levels of experience practice a fixed sequence of positions (asanas) side by side in their own breathing rhythm. Yoga beginners are invited to attend and watch a Mysore class to get an idea of how it works.
In Ashtanga Yoga, each student is seen as an individual. The positions are taught according to the level of the practitioner. I will guide you from position to position at a pace that suits you and support you in establishing a safe (injury-free) yoga practice.
A Mysore class is one-to-one tuition in a group, so yoga beginners and long-time practitioners can be equally encouraged. What is special about a Mysore class is that the teacher does not give instructions to an entire group. Your body is unique and you will get the right announcement and support for you here. A Mysore class is fundamentally different from the guided classes in other yoga studios.

The Ashtanga method is designed to be practiced regularly. It's an insanely sophisticated system that - once you allow it - can accompany you throughout life. It helps you to integrate yoga into your life as a daily ritual and reveals your true essence. You meet yourself every day on the mat, the practice becomes the mirror of your well-being.
The Mysore Style teaching is the heart of Ashtanga Yoga and what sets Ashtanga apart from all other yoga styles.
This method of practicing yoga is uncommon to most who are new to it, but popular around the world.
After all, the Mysore style is also what drives me to go to the mat myself every day full of joy. I want to share this joy with you.

gentle

Ashtanga Yoga offers you everything that constitutes healthy movement: strength, flexibility, endurance, elasticity, coordination and a conscious letting go at the end of each lesson.
Ashtanga Yoga gentle always has a special theme that runs like a red thread through the whole practice. This class is gentle, flowing and suitable for all people & levels.

self practice

Exclusively, free of charge and only for my students, there is the weekly opportunity to create a special yoga space and to practice it together with me. It's like a Mysore Style class, only like you I'm a participant.

You need Ashtanga Yoga experience and a pre-registration via Eversports by 8:00 p.m. the day before at the latest.

◌ Pilates

Pilates method is a holistic body training that includes strengthening, stretching and conscious breathing.

In gentle and harmoniously flowing movements, body awareness, coordination and mobility are further developed in a targeted, ideal way.

Pilates can not only help to prevent or get rid of back pain, it addresses the entire trunk musculature,

gives the body a new symmetry, makes you slimmer and, incidentally, leads to deep relaxation and a feeling of well-being.
